Would you like to be the next etnies Girl of the Month?
We’re looking for cool girls who know how to be themselves and follow their own path, whether they’re into skating, surfing, snowboarding, or riding motocross or BMX, or making their mark through art, music, fashion or other creative pursuits.
Leave a comment telling us why you deserve to be the next etnies Girl along with your age and a link to your Web site or MySpace page. Apr 5, 2006I thin i should be the etnies girl of the month because i always wear etnies clothes and i am always looking for new etnies clothes in shops and on the internet. I love to skateboard and i love listening to bands like mcfly who also love etnies.

i think i would be a great etnies girl because i skate everyday and love learning new tricks! i have only been skateboarding for about five months, but i am getting better everyday. you can always find me at the skatepark practicing ollies, kickturns, kickflips, shove its, and rocks. i also love art and modeling (hit me up if you need a new etnies model.) i am 15 and a sophomore in high school.

Apr 5, 2006I am 8 yrs old and I have been skating for 3 months. skateboarding is my life!! I love to get out there with the guys and try to do everything that they do. I am really good! I go to the skatepark for 4 hours everyday. I have learned many tricks. I can ollie over 3 boards, do a 5-0 grind in the big bowl, and many other things. please pick me to be the next etnies girl of the month because I work really hard and I will oneday be a pro, I promise!

I am not being slack or anything. But, when you are a true skater, you don't think about becoming pro, or getting sponsered. You think about doing new tricks, and having fun. If you have a passion for skating you don't think about those sort of things. And, I personally think your not the right person to be an Etnie girl.

you have your opinon and that's cool. But, when you set a goal for yourself you then do whatever you can to make that dream come true. That gives you something to work towards. Everyone who is into some sort of sports do think about making a career out of it.There is nothing wrong with setting goals for yourself. This is not a page for you to bash someone. So, I guess that you think you deserve to be etnies girl of the month because you called an 8 yr old homo gay whore... yeah, that is so cool!! and you have probably never even held a skate board much less ride one.. I think Kaleigh deserves to be etnies girl of the month. I have seen her web page and she is awesome!! Don't worry Kaleigh, i agree with Trena, there are some jealous people put there and when you do become pro make sure you give a shot out to the BITCH!!

Apr 7, 2006I’m nothing original; I started riding BMX two years ago. Within the first year I entered a contest (Toronto metro jam), and placed last. There was a huge issue over it, so you can defiantly say I had my ups and down’s in this “sport”. But I met two really awesome girls -Stacey and Nina, they were really supportive. Even though there we’re a lot of boo’s and “why the crap did she enter!?”’s going on, I had a really awesome “up” experience, thanks to them.
I’m 17 (I also like long walks on the beach and candle lit dinners) now, almost finishing high school and on the verge of getting my drivers license. I have huge goals, all to help the female BMX community to be as strong, if not, greater then the female skateboarding community. I started a company -I guess you can call it that, for girls who ride BMX, its called magnolia BMX (.com), I guess you can say I am a bit of an entrepreneur- I do all of my advertising, website designing, and all that fun stuff. One day I plan to create and put together an all girls video with as many female Bmxers that I can fit into, just like villavillacola. So far, I seem to be getting enough support from individual girls, so it looks like I’m on the verge, kind of. I don’t know where I’m going with this exactly, I think I just wanted to tell my life story and bore the crap out of the people who are reading this. I think I deserve to be the next Etnies girl of the month because; well I don’t really have a reason. Haha

Apr 9, 2006hey :) i think that i should be the etnies girl of the month, because my whole life revolves around skating, MX, and snowboarding. Yeah, so im only in grade 10, and its kinda wierd, cause a lot of barbie people are all like, skater chick, skater chick! and it really pisses me off, cause thats not all i am. i want to be the etnies girl of the month to show them, that skating, MX, and boarding is the shit! i skate almost everyday in the summer, and can ollie 4 decks (yeah, not that high, but whatever), 5-0, nose grind, and all that shit. and whenever im not skating, im on the trails, or at the MX park, and in the winter im pretty much boarding almost everyday cause i work at a ski hill:) so yeah..

Apr 9, 2006Hey i think i should be the Etnies Girl of the month because i do what i want to i dont follow people i dont do stuff to just try and fit in i also love skateboarding and rollerblading! they are both really awesome!!! Although i started to skateboard a year ago, i still love it!!! i also snowvoard and skii and im in cheerleading and im hekka active!My life is based on music i guess you could call me a rocker chick i love hard rock, screamo,hip-hop and hard metal!! i just dont like the oldies!
But the most important reason is because i am me and i wont change for anyone!!!! and i am proud of who and what i am!

It is great that girls can do what guys can do and sometimes not get recognition for your accomplishments. Kaleigh, I don't know you but, if you can skate and do tricks at the age of 8 then I am gonna start skating again. you have truely inspired me to skate again. I love your myspace page. I think everyone should ck it out.

Apr 10, 2006The title of Etniesgirl of the month would be sweet! I think that i deserve the title to express a postive message of inner beauty, the passion of boarding and self esteem for girls of all ages. Snowboarding was introduced to me by a couple of pro male friends who couldn't understand why i hadn't switched from skis to board. I was a tad skepticle at first to test it but im not afraid of a challenge and i didn't want to lead the stereotypcial image that girls cant do what boys can:)Ever since that day four years ago, snowboarding has become a major part of my life. It gives me the feeling of freedom and excitement as well as being original and set apart from others. Etnies clothing as well as other board clothing companies gives me the feeling of originality and representing my sport. I am all about strutting my stuff as hard core as i can. I am also looking into skateboarding again for the second summer as well as surfing!! Wait until those doubtful boys see my boardsliding skills haha much love to all etniesgirls and my fav snowboarder Alexis Waite thanx so much

Apr 14, 2006I think I should be the Etnies girl of the month because I am really good at skateboarding. I am only 9 years old and I have been sk8ing since I was 7 1/2. I am a vert rider, I do handplants and front-side and back-side airs. I practice at least 3 times a week(I'd go more if my mom had the time to take me) and try to learn something new everyday I skate. I can front-side and backside 5-0 in a bowl and half pipe. I can also 50-50 grind in a bowl and half pipe. I can rock to fakie really good! I like the sound that it makes. I can also fakie hang up, those are fun to do. And I can also fakie Handplant. I can skate street too. I like to gap spaces and ollie off of ledges. I also like to ollie off quarter pipes onto flat ground. I can kickflip up a bank and ollie about a 1' up a bank. I can ollie down banks and boneless down a bank. I can front-side boneless switch(goofy). And I can front-side boneless regular footed. I can backside 180 ollie off of ledges. I can 180 boneless of of stairs and up banks. I can also do front-side 180 bonelesses on transition. I love street and vert skateing but I mostly like to skate vert. Well I hope you guys pick me for etnies girl of the month!!!!!!!!!

She listing some pretty tough tricks to learn. and she's only 9 years old! she sounds like a really cool skater. i think she would be a phenomenal inspiration to all little girls who skateboard. May 12, 2006Im destiny, im 17 & LOVE BMX!! altho i cant do anything but ride about, i love to ride it here n there and in my own time when no ones about.. attempt a thing or two lol. & chill at my locasl skate park. love going out with my boyfriend or friends going to all the bike jams & comps. its rad! alongside that i love singing, dancing & acting! its awesome! SENDIT!
