etnies Girl Supports Breast Cancer Awareness Month

etnies Girl is proud to announce its partnership with Boarding for Breast Cancer (B4BC) by releasing a special-edition tee shirt and sandal during the month of October, National Breast Cancer Awareness month. In an effort to support the cause, etnies Girl has designed a special-edition tee shirt and sandal that will be sold at select stores nationwide and online beginning in October.
Both products feature an upbeat, Las Vegas themed design that encourages girls to enjoy and celebrate life and always to remember that life is not a gamble. A percentage of the proceeds from the sale of each item will be donated to B4BC to help fund breast cancer awareness and educational programs.

etnies Girl presents Dawn of the Shred, the women’s contest during GvR weekend. The competition kicks off Friday, Oct. 5, at 2 p.m. in the Skull Bowl and continues on Saturday, Oct. 6, at 11 a.m. on the street course at the etnies Skatepark of Lake Forest. With over $10,000 in prizes, this contest remains the most prominent women’s contest on a concrete skatepark and is bound to bring all the girls out of the woodwork.

When: Saturday, Sept. 22, 2007, from 1:00-3:00 p.m.
Where: Nordstrom South Coast Plaza in Costa Mesa, Calif.
In support of etnies Girl’s apparel launch at Nordstrom’s South Coast Plaza location, Teen Vogue will be holding a special fashion show to introduce the new etnies Girl collection. Teen Vogue’s stylist will create fresh, unique and exciting looks for etnies Girl. After the show, Teen Vogue’s stylist will bring out select models to break down the trends and have a styling Q&A with YOU the audience!
Additional activities will include:
- Live DJ
- Sips and sweets
- Mini makeovers by a Nordstrom cosmetics vendor
- Interactive contest that will award four girls something from the new etnies Girl collection

Sarah Whitmore Wins Steel City

Congratulations to team rider Sarah Whitmore for winning Round 6 of the 2007 AMA/WMA Women’s National Motocross Championship at Steel City Raceway in Delmont, Pa., Aug. 26. Congrats also to teammate Tarah Gieger for taking ninth place in the event.
Tarah held onto her strong position in the final point standings, coming in at second place overall, and Sarah finished closely behind her in sixth place. Both riders will next compete in the WMA Cup Nov. 21-25 in Floresville, Texas.
